Karina and Yesenia’s love story is a perfect example of serendipity. We’ve just finished up their engagement shoot and are now enjoying a delicious meal when it dawned on me that I never asked them how they met. The girls looked at each other and laughed and began telling me their story.
They first met at a time in their lives when a relationship with each other wasn’t possible at the moment. Karina had just begun establishing her career and Yesenia was in the process of finishing school. They were friends over the course of a year and then went their separate ways. Two years later, Yesenia has a dream about that special girl she had met a few years ago. She found it odd and felt compelled to contact Karina. Karina was pleasantly surprised when she received an email from Yesenia, but had to wait a few weeks before responding as she was preparing for a trip. Once she returned, Karina replied to Yesenia and they decided to get together at a friend’s small party.
As they are telling me their story, they can’t help but smile back and forth at each other. It was at this moment of the story Yesenia looks at Karina and says, “That night I just knew. I knew I had found the one for me.” These two are so madly in love and it shows in the way that they care for one another, speak to each other, and the giddiness they share when together. I cannot wait for their wedding in December at the gorgeous Deering Estate. They’ve shared a few of the details with me and it is going to be amazing!
