The doorbell rang and I quickly checked the volume on the T.V., adjusted my shirt, and took a deep breath. I opened the door to a familiar face, yet I felt like I was looking at it for the first time. William (or as everyone calls him, L.B.) smiled back at me and opened his arms for a hug. I found myself lifting up onto my toes to reach him and couldn’t believe the man standing in front of me was the same boy I remember growing up with. L.B. is Danielle’s younger brother and as you may remember from their wedding, I grew up with Danielle since elementary school and L.B. was often right alongside her. Poor kid was at every cheerleading practice and school event. I hadn’t seen him in years and in those years, he’s transformed into quite the handsome and well mannered man. Standing right behind him was his beautiful fiance, Nicolette. L.B.’s mom tagged along as she was meeting with me as well on Danielle and Dre’s behalf. I welcomed them inside and we sat together on the couch, while we caught up and I got to know them all over again.
I could immediately tell L.B. was head over heels in love with Nicolette. The way he smiled at her and how his face lit up when he recalled their engagement story, I knew they were perfect for each other. Nicolette and I quickly connected over wedding talk and when it came time for them to leave, I crossed my fingers that they would choose me as their photographer. Everything they had planned so far sounded amazing and I would be so honored to be able to capture it for them.
Nicolette and L.B., your wedding was absolutely beautiful. I truly felt like a member of the family, being welcomed by everyone I met. I’m so glad I was able to witness you tie the knot and begin your life together. Your future holds unlimited opportunities that will bring you closer together and your love for one another grow even more. I hope you’re having an amazing time on your honeymoon!

The wedding day jitters started to come through..
Nicolette is the baby in the family and had her two older sisters by her side to help her get ready
Nicolette you have no idea how stunning you are!
Special thanks to Jenny of Klix Photo & Design for shooting alongside me!
I told you he was handsome! The photo on the right wasn’t posed. Jenny captured a raw moment between a father and his son.
L.B. is a huge UM fan so the boys did their version of spelling CANES!
The ceremony was held at the beautiful St. Gregory’s Catholic Church. Nicolette literally took her groom’s breath away.
This is one of my favorite moments in the ceremony. When they are pronounced husband and wife and turn to make their way up the aisle to their future.
We grabbed a few portraits in the prayer garden and these two were troopers! It was so hot, humid, and sprinkling!
My favorite photo of the day below!
Now that’s one happy couple! Loved their first dance!
L.B. surprised his mom with a dance and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Such an emotional moment between mother and son.
I sneaked them away during the reception for a few photos in the golden sunset light.
