Madison: 5 years old

I can’t believe a year has passed so quickly and my precious niece is five years old already! She is quite the ball of energy that keeps all of us on our toes. From the moment she wakes up, she goes non stop until you force her to stay still long enough for her to fall asleep. She amazes me with how much she’s learned and how quickly she catches on. Her handwriting has improved and she can read and write so many different words now. I love seeing her scribble in my birthday cards each year. Madison definitely hasn’t lost her spunk and could be a used car salesman with how much she bargains. She knows what she wants and she’ll barter with you until she gets her way.

I thought it would be fun this year to do all things girly. Dress up, blow bubbles, play with glitter, run through balloons, and eat cupcakes. She’s always asking for lipstick and she loves to sneak into my closet to find a pair of heels to clunk around the house in. However, Madison had other plans. All she wanted to do was go play at the park and chew bubble gum. Luckily, she loves her Tia Julie and reluctantly gave in to all my silly ideas. =)

We started with the bubbles. I have to say she enjoyed running around trying to pop them!

The only way I could get her to stand still was to off her a cupcake!

She had a special request that I take a photo with her holding her candle

I was able to convince her to pose for me for a few photos but we had to sneak in some silly faces too. Monkey on the left and scary fish face on the right.

And when I told her she could blow confetti in my face, she was happy to do it!

She pulled out the sweetness twice for me. These last two steal my heart!
