I can’t believe it’s been over a year already since I had the pleasure of meeting Kelsey and Alex as they were planning their wedding. Now they’re happily married and the proud parents of an adorable one year old, Daniel! You may remember the photos I shared back in October when Daniel was about 6 months. He was cute as a button and we were able to get some great photos of their sweet family. Kelsey and I have bonded throughout the year over motherhood and I’m so happy to say she’s not only a fantastic client, but an awesome friend too. I was so honored when she asked me to take Daniel’s 1st birthday photos. We set up a small portrait shoot just before his birthday and well like any baby can, Daniel was having an off day. He wasn’t into at all. For someone who LOVES to feed himself and make a mess, he did not want anything to do with his cake. Haha He spent most of the shoot trying to crawl away from me. We tried again at his birthday party and he gobbled up his cupcake like a pro!

He also started walking just before his first birthday so I love the photo on the right of him wobbling away from me.
Daniel’s lucky to have some awesome grandparents!
About a week later we got together again at the beautiful Morikami Gardens and had fun exploring while taking some new family photos.
I was taking the above photo while Daniel was exploring close by when he decided mama needed a little hair fluffing. Such a great assistant!
At the end Alex plopped Daniel in the bed of his truck while we all chatted for a few minutes and he had a blast. Love his little alfalfa!
