Isaac Stephen: One Year Portraits

‘ll never forget the night I text Stephanie with the exciting news of being induced the next night and her immediate response with “Me too!” We joke all the time that our sons are twins from different wombs. We had the same due date, were induced the same day, and ended up giving birth two hours apart. I’ve really cherished having someone to turn to during my first year as a mother, who seemed to always be going through the same thing at the same time. It’s been such a joy watching them grow up together and now as adorable little toddlers with big personalities. Isaac is such a sweetie and holds a special place in my heart. I can’t help but melt when he scrunches up his nose and eyes when he smiles at me. He definitely lights up the room, especially when he breaks it down with his dance moves. Isaac, I pray that you continue to always move through life with such passion, determination, and eagerness. I know God has great things in store for you and I’m excited to watch them unfold for you as you continue to grow and learn the world around you. Tia JuJu loves you very much!

Isaac let go of his balloons and sent them up to his Ababa a little sooner than we anticipated, but we still got a few cute photos.

Isaac is so sweet to his mama. I adore the way he’s snuggling her cheek here.

He also thinks mama’s kisses are just for him. Sorry Steve!

We kept things simple for Isaac’s session. No theme or a bunch of props. We just wanted Isaac to be Isaac. Including playing in the playground. These are some of my favorite images

This September Issac will take on a new role as big brother to his baby sister, Juliette. I can’t wait to see their relationship!
