Anjali: Spanish Monastery Quincenera

I first met Anjali three years ago when I did her older sister’s quince session. She was quiet and laidback and we joked about it being her turn one day! Well that day came fast! I couldn’t believe Anji was turning 15 already when her mom contacted me about booking her portrait session. It seems like the years are just flying by these days. I met with Anji and her mom to discuss different ideas to make her session unique and she was just as soft spoken and laidback as I remembered. She knew she wanted something more classic with greenery so we decided on the Spanish Monastery in North Miami and set a date.

When the day came for her session, it was cloudy and rainy. We had an unusually wet November this year and I was nervous about how the weather was going to play into the session. Anji had already had her hair and make-up done so we decided to stick with our plan and just hope for the best. Thankfully we were able to work with the off and on showers and I couldn’t be happier with how her photos came out. Anjali looks gorgeous and I loved seeing her confidence build in  front of my camera and that shy exterior melt away. Anji had so many beautiful dresses so it’s a long post! I had such a  hard time picking out my favorites!
